PhoneTree ("the App") is a team communication tool designed for group messaging and contact management. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and an encrypted password. This information is stored securely via Firebase Authentication.
Contact Information: Contacts you add to the app (names, phone numbers, email addresses, notes) are stored in our cloud database (Google Firestore) and shared with members of your team group.
Profile Information: If you upload a profile photo, it is stored in Firebase Storage and visible to your team members.
Device Contacts: If you use the "Import from Phone" feature, we access your device contacts only at the moment of import. We do not continuously monitor or sync your device contacts.
Usage Data: We log activity within the app (such as adding or removing contacts) to provide a change log feature for your team. This data is associated with your user account.
Your data is shared only with members of your team group within the App. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
We use Google Firebase services (Authentication, Firestore, Storage) to store and process your data. Google's privacy practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted authentication, secure cloud storage, and access controls. Passwords are never stored in plain text.
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If your account is removed from a group by an administrator, your contact contributions remain with the group. You may request complete account deletion through the App's settings.
PhoneTree is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy within the App.
